Biographies & Memorial Books.

Biographies: For our biography packages, we will interview you and tell your unique story. We can also interview other family members or friends to incorporate additional memories and perspectives. In addition to books about individuals, previous projects have included couples’ books (interviewing both of you, and telling your combined story), and business books (including stories told by business owners and their employees and customers).

Memorial Books: For our memorial book packages, we can incorporate numerous voices - interviewing family members, friends and loved ones, and/or including written submissions. We can also incorporate information from funeral videos and transcripts, obituaries, newspaper articles, and more. We understand that this process can be incredibly difficult and painful, and we always take a sensitive approach.

Do also get in touch if you have a different type of project in mind. For example, we have worked with clients to produce books that are more academic in nature (working with a range of source material) and we have also helped clients to shape and improve their own writing.

  • An infographic titled 'Concise' with details about a book package that includes 15,000 words, up to 6 interview hours, 30 photos, about 82 pages, 4 hardback books in Demy size, and a total cost of £3,600, broken down as three payments of £1,200 each.

  • Information about a 'Classic' book package, including 25,000 words, up to 8 interview hours, 40 photos, approximately 122 pages, 6 hardback books in Demy size, costing £5,700 in total.

  • Infographic detailing the features of a 'Comprehensive' book package including 40,000 words, up to 10 interview hours, 60 photos, approximately 158 pages, 8 hardcover books in Royal size, total cost £8,700.

Included in every package:

  • Introductory chat.

  • Client questionnaire (sent to client to complete).

  • Client interviews (conducted remotely, unless in-person sessions have been agreed). Interviews usually take place weekly, and sessions are usually 1-2 hours.

  • Draft outline and sample chapter sent to client to be approved.

  • Book draft written, with one round of corrections included. Draft approved by client.

  • Book draft professionally proofread.

  • Design work done, including typesetting, cover design, and inclusion of photos/images (after they have been scanned and sent by the client).

  • Client approval of the book proof + digital copy supplied.

  • Books delivered to the client’s home address (full-colour hardback books, with dust jackets).
